ABOUT US

"If better is possible, good is not enough"
We are just an ordinary family from Finland who are "madly" in love with old english sheepdogs & coton de tulear. Old english sheepdogs have been a big part of our lifes since 1986 and since 1995 we had our first coton de tulear in our lifes. Our first litter of OES was born 1989 and coton litter 1998. We live in the Southeastern part of Finland, 225 km from Helsinki, 350 km from Turku, 450 km from Oulu, 116 km from Jyväskylä and only 250 km to Russia, St Petersburg. You can locate us » here

Our house at summertime

Our house is not a hugh one, it is actually an old small farmhouse, but located very near of the small city (Mikkeli). Our homeyard is big for dogs to run and there is plenty of woods just 3 minutes walk from our frontdoor. So many lakes around this part of Finland, much of woods and space. I could say: there wouldn´t be any other place like ours to live with dogs! ;)

As our dogs are members of the family and they don´t have any kennel-houses or buildings, we want to keep our gang small. There are three bobtails living with me (Päivi) and my husband (Matti): oldest one Int CH Blockhead´s Pandora "Pansku" (born 2000), the young gilr Blockhead´s Yummy Yep-Yep "Lola" (born 3.9.2006) and only male ´Manu´ Ayrakas Hydrodynamic.  All our cotons are co-owned within family and we breed some of them together.

We share our living with our dogs in the very same house. All our dogs have been qualified in dog shows, also certified (HD, HCA, PRA, elbows) in healthiness. They all have such a typical temperament of an old english sheepdog. Our dogs live together with us - they´ve got no kennelhouses or icolated rooms. When bitches are whelping they have their own room to nurse puppies etc. and when puppies are old enough to play with older dogs they are allowed to do it- when there are family to watch over. We have only one litter in both breeds at the same time as we believe that puppies need so much time and energy from people too... ;-)
