COTON DE TULEAR AS A BREED

This wonderfull breer; COTON DE TULEAR  came into Finland early 1990 and this breed has became a very popular breed. Puppies are wanted, and you may have to wait your own COTON many, many months or even a year. 

Breed is under health control; parents must be free from hederitary HCA, PRA, knees must be examinated and the certificate of health examination for eyes can´t be older than 12 months when mating. Program is in database (FKC).

One of the points why the breed is so popular is the caracter of this breed.Typical coton de tulear has the most loveable, lively, faitfull caracter and he is a breed who doesn´t need to be trimmed - or shouldn´t be - and it belongs into toy breeds which makes that living in cities is much easier than a bigger companion.

What you must be carefull is the coat. It needs taking care in every week, and as a puppy and between the coats, more than once a week. When you see a full-coated coton, I must say IT IS A PLESURE to see a coton which is clean, brushed and happily acting

When you see a typical coton de tulear in act - you just can´t be ignoring him, you will fall in love with him...Some calls him "the clown of the doggy world" - and if you were in moody blues he´ll make it go away!
